Skippy Foods Picnics in the Park

The Skippy Foods (Little Rock, Ark.) team spent the afternoon honoring the Hormel Foods legacy by picnicking in the park with their families. Yippee!

On Friday, July 9, the Skippy Foods team celebrated our 125^th Anniversary in conjunction with their annual picnic. From noon to 4 p.m., over 180 people joined the festivities at Burns Park in Little Rock, Ark. and feasted on a delicious meal. The picnic featured the catering services of a favored local café, Whole Hog. While the adults enjoyed catching up over bingo, the children in attendance had no trouble staying occupied at a special kid’s station packed with games and activities galore!

After the picnic, the families headed over to Fun Land, a nearby amusement park to continue the 125^th Anniversary celebration. The team all agreed that the best part of the day was seeing how much fun everyone had!

“This was a great opportunity for our employees to spend some time with their families, build comradery among co-workers and enjoy one another’s company,” said Roger Vos, Skippy Foods plant manager.
